REGISTER FOR ABM CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM (Basic ICT Skills)
The African Baptist Ministries (ABM) in Canada, in partnership with , is dedicated to promoting civil society and advocating for programs that meet the needs of marginalized communities.
This partnership focuses on closing the digital divide by providing ICT skills training to marginalized communities, particularly women from Africa and Asia who have faced gender-based violence and cultural barriers. The program, held in Edmonton, Alberta, aims to equip participants with essential digital literacy skills, enhancing their employment opportunities, promoting social inclusion, and fostering long-term empowerment.
Through tailored, hands-on training, participants gain the confidence and knowledge needed to navigate the digital world, ultimately enabling them to overcome barriers and achieve greater independence.
Objectives:
- This Capacity Building Program aims to empower participants by providing them with the necessary ICT skills to thrive in a digital world. The program targets everyone in need but particularly emphasizes reaching those who are most vulnerable, such as women who have been marginalized by violence and cultural restrictions.
Program Details:
- The courses will last for 1 month, 3 Days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), 3 hours a day.
- Courses are only in person / Not Online
- At the end of the course, participants will get Certificate of Completion.
- All services are free of charge.
- Childcare services will be provided for children under 2 years.
