Welcome to the Official Website of African Baptist Ministries (ABM) Canada.

The African Baptist Ministries (ABM) is a registered non-profit Christian organization (Incorporation Number: 1021583-0 in Canada) committed to empowering and supporting newcomers, refugees, and communities worldwide by providing holistic services, from spiritual guidance through missionary work to practical support for immigrants and refugees in Canada and beyond.

Founded in Butare, Rwanda, in 1992, ABM has grown to have a global presence, with branches in Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, Lesotho, Zambia, Malawi, Swaziland, Burundi, Mozambique, the Philippines, Uganda, India, Canada, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, USA and Mozambique.

Our programs include Interpretation and Translation Support Services to bridge language barriers, Basic Computer Training to equip individuals with essential digital skills, Missionary Services to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and Refugee Private Sponsorship to assist refugees in resettling and integrating into new communities. At ABM, we believe in fostering an inclusive, faith-based environment where everyone can thrive spiritually, socially, and economically.

Mission

Our mission is to empower individuals and communities by spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and providing essential services that support social integration, personal development, and spiritual growth. Through our faith-based approach, we strive to remove barriers—be they language, economic, or social—that hinder people from living fulfilling lives in their new communities.

Vision

We envision a world where all people, regardless of background, can access the support they need to integrate, thrive, and grow in faith. Our goal is to create welcoming, inclusive communities globally, where newcomers, refugees, and underrepresented individuals can flourish spiritually, socially, and economically.

Objectives

Provide Interpretation and Translation Services: Ensure that newcomers and refugees can communicate effectively by offering no-cost interpretation and translation services in various languages, including sign language.

Offer Basic Computer Training: Equip individuals with fundamental digital skills to help them succeed in today’s technology-driven world.

Spread the Gospel through Missionary Services: Fulfill our Christian mission by spreading the message of Jesus Christ through local and international missionary outreach programs.

Support Refugee Private Sponsorship: Assist refugees in their resettlement journey by offering private sponsorship, helping them navigate the challenges of integration, and building connections within their new communities.

Foster Community Integration: Help individuals overcome language, social, and economic barriers, ensuring their successful integration and active participation in society.
